Outfitting the Green Way


I recently dispensed some good advice on "outfitting your kids the green way."

It's ever-important, since kids are constantly growing and need new clothes periodically. These tips are equally applicable to adults because green living is intertwined with the choices that we make, which include cutting consumption.

In this day and age of reformed consumerism, more socially responsible practices are gaining traction. I found these fun suggestions on shopping for your kids from other people’s closet.

1) Entertain Hand-Me-Downs.
Since kids only wear their clothes for a short period of time before outgrowing them, good old hand-me down clothing can be an option. Accept what you need and pass on what you won’t use for your kids (Zissu, 2009)."
